Discouragement

Dear Me,

We are all on a sacred journey.  But sometimes the path doesn't look like we want or expect it too and we feel discouraged.  A powerful feeling, discouragement. It shakes our courage, conjures future/past struggles, and slows us down.  Trying to avoid discouragement can siren call us off our path if we are not careful.  We need to try to see it for what it really is:  A signpost.  Imagine the sign reading:  Woohoo!  Way to travel uncharted territory!  Way to hang on to your courage!  Stay to path!

Try looking at it like this:  Feeling discouraged is a normal reaction to striving.  By persevering, however, we get closer to our goals and our confidence increases.

Feeling discouraged is merely one symptom of choosing to tackle something large, something that stretches, something that will ultimately bring personal, meaningful growth.

Feeling discouraged is not a marker of failure.  It is a mark that we are trying!

Remember that all things will pass, including discouragement.

Just keep traveling your sacred path.

Love, Me
